Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, and Meeting Our Boat

Hagia Sophia photos

I was excited to see the Hagia Sophia since I wrote my first term paper about it in high school and never dreamed I’d be there. The reality is that its 1500 years of history and multiple uses have made it a little down on its ear. They are in the process of renovating now but much has been lost.

We also toured the Blue Mosque which is opposite on the square, had lunch, and breezed through the spice market. Then we got on a plane to go to Bodram to get on our boat.

Wow! The boat surely didn’t disappoint! It is totally fabulous, and will be our home for a week. I’ll get a better side view of it later in the trip.
