New Artist Journal Pages in my Square Sketchbook

new artist journal pages

Here are the monoprint collages I’ve been playing with recently. Partly, I’ve been reclaiming the color red as having no political meaning whatsoever, which has felt good. I have been enjoying the 9″x9″ square format of this book, but I’m painting in others journals as well.

January seems to be a time to warm up this way, and I’ve been trying to get back into the daily habit of it, while I wait for larger, formal work to burst through onto the scene. Any day now? You can’t force these things, and I’ve been working plenty too, so we’ll see what shows up. I simply have so many ideas, I’m not sure what will surface.

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves. Are these made by using a gelli plate? Just curious!
