Here are the recent black and white photographs I’ve taken recently. Value, shape, form, texture and light are what I’m exploring here, as well as how they contribute to composition. Since color is so important to me, it is useful to remove it as a variable to assess these other elements that are also vital. It helps me evaluate how much I’m just being seduced by color and see the other elements that contribute to a successful image.
