Laura’s Artwork from the Epic Graduation Trip

Here are the paintings our youngest daughter did on our recent trip. The one above is an oil painting of Half Dome in Yosemite National Park, the first one below is a close-up watercolor of a stream in the Sequoia National Park campground (where I saw a black bear scamper right past her while she was doing it but she didn’t even notice because she was busy focusing), and the last one below is a pastel of Moraine Lake, in Banff National Park. I love them all!

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves. Dear Polly and Laura,
I loved the artwork Laura painted! So beautiful, and reflects the real-life scene – what an experience to see this natural beauty in person! Thank you so much for sharing it. I have been following your blog/trip and having never been there myself, this has been a wonderful way to view God’s beauty through your experience. Thank you! Janice Kennedy, State College, PA

It’s so fun to see her work in the different mediums! She has a good eye, and I’d agree, she’s got an amazing ability to focus. The drawing of the rose she did at my house was amazing! This trip neither she nor you will ever forget. Such a wonderful sharing of nature, wide open spaces. I really crave some of that in my life. And sometimes I get that sense of ahhhh, even driving to work as there are wide open spaces here too. Love to you.
