Here are the rest of my photos from Jasper, with the exception of Athabaskan Falls and some more of our youngest daughter, which will come in the next two days. We enjoyed Pyramid Mountain with its amazing glints of color (photo above), getting up close and personal with Mount Edith Cavell (the mountain with the snow and ice on it whose namesake is a favorite of mine and I was thrilled to see her honored in this way), a great bike ride around Edith Lake (which we wouldn’t have known about but for a gracious tip from neighboring campers in Banff), a great art gallery in Jasper Lodge (you can see a few of my favorite works from there below), as well as an incredibly delicious and appreciated halibut dinner. We loved our time here, and it was bittersweet because this awesome trip was starting to wind to a close. If you don’t know who Edith Cavell is, read a biography– which I only did as a homeschooling mother; she is an awesome example of a genuine hero.

The photos are all wonderful – especially the one with clouds and pines reflected in the slightly rippling water of the foreground! (I hope you offer that one for sale in your gallery :-)
