Yom HaShoah: Holocaust Remembrance Day

Yom HaShoah: Holocaust Remembrance Day

Yom HaShoah

Our local clergy association– of which I am a member – is holding a Holocaust Remembrance Day service this evening, as you can see in the flyer above.

Here is a fact for you: if we held one minute of silence for every victim of the Holocaust, then we would be silent for 11 1/2 years. Wow…

Below in the photos, you can see some of the books our homeschooling kids read about the holocaust.

I recently read The Paris Architect, which was about the holocaust in Paris.

And this is an interesting blog that explains Hitler’s criteria for degenerate art (that he wanted expunged similarly to Jews).

You may want to watch this video of traffic stopping to a halt for Holocaust Remembrance Day in Israel.

My prayer for all mankind is that we learn to embrace our differences, and celebrate our common ground. One God created us all.

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves.
