The local pottery studios collaborated on offering three Saturday “Clay Dates” at the Healing Newtown Center for the Arts. Clay and glaze had been donated by suppliers and pottery volunteers made these workshops available free to the Newtown community. Hundreds made use of this healing atmosphere and an activity where harmony, safety, concentration and creativity reigned.

These are the photos I took as I volunteered last Saturday. (I posted them chronologically since I felt the progression showed the release that took place.) This was such a beautiful, encouraging scene of community supporting each other and forging ahead with love.
