Day 3: Schoodic Peninsula (Lots of Rock, Bird, & Sunset Photos)

Schoodic Peninsula photos

We camped at Schoodic Peninsula, which is a fantastic northern portion of Acadia National Park. The range of rocks is amazing, as you’ll see in my photos. I did a plein air painting too of a scene with different types of rocks, which is a bit hard to discern in my abstract representation of it. Also we saw a juvenile bald eagle! Sunset was lovely too. These pictures show the evening before (with loud spring peepers!) and then our full day in this favorite spot. Everything else on this trip will be brand new to us!

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves. Finally looking at these after seeing you today, Polly!
The rock and water colors are stunning, particularly in the wet weather. Your painting that follows them is exactly what I hoped for—to see you interpret, expand, and elevate all of the elements. Simply beautiful, both the natural and human-made versions!
