A week ago Saturday, I was unable to be at my niece’s out-of-state baby shower, and mailed her a stack of board books as my proxy (see last photo below).

Thinking about her and the baby the day of the shower resulted in me doing this painting. After working on it all week, contemplating the formation of a baby in the womb and its integrated relationship with the mother, here it is.
