I really enjoyed painting on location in this lovely setting on Echo Lake Beach in Acadia National Park in Maine.

I was delighted that my husband, instead of just hanging out with me, actually painted his first pastel, while I did these two! He says that experience will serve to make him slower to criticize my work now after trying it himself. There is much more to factor in, approximate, and consider than he realized.
