The Last of the Harvest

The Last of the Harvest

New Pond Farm Redding

Alas… the growing season is over.  Both our own garden and the New Pond Farm CSA garden have ceased producing.  We had our first frost over the weekend, even though this week is still balmy.  Here are the last gardening photos of the year.

Last night, we ate those butternut squashes above using my Caramelized Butternut Squash recipe found here on this blog. (Yum!!) We are thankful for such a great growing season this year. Our freezer is full and we will be enjoying the fruits of these labors well into the winter.
