After a few warm days, our heaps of snow have started to melt. Lots of the snow is looking pretty dirty at this point. We even can see bits of grass under the large pine tree in our front yard, but make no mistake, it’s still 18” high most places. Happily, the dangerous snow on folks’ roofs has melted, and it’s no longer quite so scary backing out of my driveway onto our busy road now that visibility is less obstructed. It is cold again today, and six more inches are expected tomorrow, but I’m glad too, that while all our snow melted some, it didn’t all melt too fast, flooding everyone…
