The weather the last few days has been crystalline. The deep blue skies, together with the humidity-free seventy degree air, simultaneously carried both the last whiff of summer and the first scent of fall.

I’m grateful for a job that allows me to be out hiking on days like this. I breathed it all in deeply. Yesterday my daughter and I hiked at Huntington State Park, and this morning I did a bit of the Appalachian Trail while she was in a Botany class north of here.

Here are a few of the photos I took on those two hikes; the first nine photos were taken at Huntington (with it’s quiet water), the last five were taken near Bull’s Bridge on the Appalachian Trail (with its gushing water)…

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves.
