I drove to the city today for the memorial service of a wonderful client of mine from when I had my engineering firm.  Twenty years ago I renovated her building between 77th and 78th on the west side of Lexington Avenue in New York City.  The project was extensive; in the process we became good friends enjoyed lasting mutual respect.  Many join me in regretting the loss of her joy, energy, integrity and gratitude!  Upon leaving to return home, while crawling out of the city, I snapped these shots of Upper east side from behind the driver’s wheel…
