Here are the orchids we have blooming right now at our house. I love their cheery beauty, and am so grateful to be married to someone that gets them to effortlessly rebloom. We have more on the way!

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves. Polly, These are beautiful. I have one orchid plant. It was beautiful in bloom. I don’t know the procedure required to have it rebloom. It’s been about a year since it dropped all it’s flowers. One stalk dried up recently; the other is green. Two new leaves appeared several months ago. Would your husband be willing to reveal his secrets?!

He would say: Keep the plant in bright but diffused light. Do not overwater. The growing medium should not retain water but allow water to drain through quickly. Also he uses a little plant food. You can ask at a nursery what would work best for orchids. The main thing is to not let the roots be wet. They need moisture several times a week, but should never be too wet.
