Sexuality Can Be Beautiful

We learn that
God is all; matter is nothing.
Spirit, being all, could not create it’s opposite, matter.

Sensuality can be sin:
Not just out of wedlock or in the act of lust or adultery.
When steeped in matter and about matter, it is all wrong.
This will never satisfy since only our likeness of God can.

But we must resolve “things into thoughts”
Trade “the objects of sense for the ideas of Soul.”*

What does a stunning vista signify?
Are we base to appreciate it?

Do we need to be healed of smelling a lovely flower?

Exceptional music can carry us to ethereal communion
So do we condemn our ears for facilitating it?

When we savor the garlic or cinnamon or chocolate
Are we innocently experiencing goodness
or do we need to get over it to be spiritual?

We are not talking excess here,
but simple, moderate connection with life.
God is Life itself, palpitating, animate, engaging

And God is Love too, caring, touching, adoring
We reflect all that, and it’s beautiful.

Caressing and holding one another
is as a lily of the valley is to the nose
a pure, unconflicted gift of discernment:
rejoicing over
feeling unconditionally worthy of
and coupling with
that which created everything.
