Day 5: Creative Arts Camp 2009

shapeimage_7-1

After a nice church service (this crowd sings so well!) complete with one of my favorite solos (On Eagle’s Wings), we had individual presentations of work completed over these past four days. We saw a slide show by the photographers, and work by mobile makers; we hiked to view environmental installations, and listened to screen plays read (two really good ones); there were presentations from drawing class people and abstract painting participants.

In my presentation, I discussed a “clearing up of abstractions,” and remarked about how clear it has become to me that everyone has their own unique, inherent style. All the artwork in this post was done by other participants in this year’s creative arts camp, and only a fraction of it is shown. (I also liked a lot of things that didn’t get photographed!) Also there are a few photos from around camp. Goodbye for another year!

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves.
