Creative Arts Camp 2011: Painting #3 and #4

The painting above is the third painting I did at camp in a burst of inspiration. I felt very free doing this one. It is just a second layer. I am still considering whether to paint over it or not…

The fourth painting at camp was a composition exercise. My teacher wanted me to do something angular since I’m usually what he calls “sinewy.” Below you can see photos of layers 1, 2, and three. I tried to have the third layer be the final one but I am not happy with it as a painting, since it looks too much like an exercise to me! I will eventually paint over this one….
