Books We Got for Christmas

Books We Got for Christmas

Here are the books we got for Christmas. I received two art books and two cookbooks, all of which I will pour over. I’m especially thrilled to have the coffee table book of my pastel teacher’s artwork, shown first below. The book Imperfect was written by a childhood friend of our daughter’s (who is also the daughter of a blog reader). Our older daughter is planning a trip to France and enjoys spy novels, hence those in the pile. Our youngest is fascinated with library design so she got a gorgeous book about that, and her brother gave her the Thing Explainer, which is really cool, and I may review it someday on this blog. What books did you get for Christmas that you are excited about?

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves. Those ALL look so wonderful!
I didn’t get any books this Christmas, but I bought some for others in the family: Humans of New York Stories, Principles of Neural Science, The History of Western Philosophy, Hiroshige: One Hundred Famous Views of Edo, and a book about Hokusai.
