Book Review: Wonderbook (Guide to Creating Imaginative Fiction)

Wonderbook

This is a wonderful book for anyone; I give it an enthusiastic five stars. Both my fantasy-reading teen and I loved it. We are both very visual so really appreciated the explanatory illustrations, which you can see in the photos below. There is also a lot of text here, but it is broken up in smaller chunks. Additionally, there are page spreads of tips written by professionals in the trade.

This is an amazing resource for a homeschooler interested in writing fiction, but it is also very interesting for all lovers of fiction, enabling them to gain a better understanding of all that goes into this craft.

This book is a total delight; take this thick, detailed work slowly and treasure and contemplate every morsel.

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves.
