Book Review: Looking for Salvation at the Dairy Queen

Looking for Salvation at the Dairy Queen

I really enjoyed this book and give it five stars. It is a quick read about the daughter of a Baptist preacher in Georgia, who can’t wait to get out of there and get on with her life. Meanwhile, she has to learn to not be so self absorbed, and that destiny is more an interior than an exterior job. She learns that it is not so much where you are that matters, as what you bring to it.

Are dreams our advocates or actually just temptations distracting us from our destiny? This light, pleasurable read, is packed with parables both Biblical and secular, that will get you thinking without ever feeling heavy or ponderous.

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves.
