Baby Robins in Our Peach Tree

Baby Robins in Our Peach Tree

baby robins

We have been enjoying watching three baby robins being raised by two very doting and squawky parents in the peach tree that is right out our kitchen window. Every time we walk out the back door there is a clamor of concerned bird chatter.

It has been difficult to photograph this unfolding drama, since it is over head and obscured by leaves. This morning I enlisted my husband who is taller than me to take their photo from a step stool, but the result was that all three jumped ship and we witnessed their first (hopefully not premature!) flight; you can see one of them in the photo below on our driveway.

It is amazing how fast they have grown! Only a week ago they were a jumble of unrecognizable feathers. I hope we haven’t disrupted their life too much; they sure have sweetened ours.
