At last: Photos of Hydrangeas in Our Yard!

I have wanted hydrangeas for a long time. This is the first year I have them blooming in our yard! They are right out my back door and I can see them from the kitchen and the side porch. We’ve had a monsoon season of literally rain daily for what seems like over a month, but these bushes are loving it and they are thriving. I’m told they should bloom all summer? I haven’t even cut any yet. (I happen to know that the blooms are four dollars each here at the florist!)

I’m very happy to have these building their root systems in our yard at long last, and hope they grow big over many years and continue to bloom happily. We’ve put acidic food in the soil of the one and not of the other which accounts for the different colors. They are the same type of plant, planted next to each other, but are of a delightfully different hue. See other photos of these hydrangeas below.
