Since it was foggy during the workshop, I did not paint any grand vistas as I expected, but instead focused on these two unique apple trees, whose shapes intrigued me. Both were painted in plein air. I did the one above in pastel first, which is 16″x20″ and after that at I went large, painting the 20″x40″ one below in oil. The one below is still drying up in Maine and will be shipped to me eventually.
