Thanksgiving 2015

Happy Thanksgiving!  I sure am grateful for each and every one of you.

We had a nice day which began with a church service of gratitude to God (for everything from family and friends, to safety, health, harmony, and joy, to books, and seeds that grow, and paints, and trips, and new revelations, and healing, and generosity, and kindness). You can first see here some photos we took at church this morning.

It is delightful to have both our daughters home, and so fun to see how much they enjoy each other. All together we Skyped with our son too. I am so grateful all three are doing so well.

We had cheese and crackers before dinner: cranberry stilton, garlic boursin, double cream brie, unexpected cheddar, goat cheese rolled in figs, and salty feta. Following this, we had a simple but delicious meal of Swordfish with Herbed Lemon Pepper Butter, caramelized butternut squash (homegrown), and watercress, pear and walnut salad. These were requested favorites and it was a truly sumptuous feast served with goblets of cold Martinelli’s. For desert we had Ginger, Carrot, Hazelnut Cake with Molasses Frosting, which is a real treat.

The girls challenged each other to a game of chess, and all together we played a rousingly rambunctious game of Phase 10, which I won after being behind the whole game until the last round. Next we are settling in for a movie…

I sure hope you’ve had a wonderful day as well! You are loved and appreciated!

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves.
