Our Youngest Daughter Moves into Her First Apartment and Begins Junior Year

IMG_3165

We have dropped our youngest off at college and helped her move into her first apartment. The apartment is campus owned, complete with furniture and a full kitchen. It is quite charming, in good shape, very convenient to class, and our daughter is looking forward to cooking for herself instead of eating in the dining hall. She has two roommates who share a room while she scored the single. There is good light, a bathtub, and even a doorbell.

We drove a van full to the gills the five hours to Juniata. My husband rode with our daughter’s large “friends” on his lap; don’t miss that photo below. Our daughter traveled with the lamp shades in her lap. The scenery was lovely, as you can see.

I was glad to be able to help get her settled before I head off to camp, after which I’ll be returning home as an empty nester again.

Here’s to a great junior year! We love you!

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves.
