My Haiku in the Aftermath of Arizona Shootings

My Haiku in the Aftermath of Arizona Shootings

shapeimage_7-1

I am so appalled
why harsh violence happens
when Love is power

Precious, innocent
people killed so brutally
unnecessary

Will we ever learn
graceful tolerant kindness
peace and brotherhood

Ever-present good
has no hiatus nor lapse
strong and undefiled

Unconscionable
outrage, an anathema
unsanctioned by God

Screaming for healing
galvanized into action
we pray in hindsight

Staring evil down
holding fast to Love and Truth
correction occurs

Hunting for justice
replace odious offense
with real redemption

God we all need help
as winds of error blow hard
protect each of us

Safe within your Love
we are unassailable
defended, secure.

My God you are there
somehow blessing with your grace
everyone involved.
