Movie Review: Life of Pi

We finally got a chance to see this movie on the big screen for $2 at Edmond Town Hall Theater in Newtown; if you are local, you can catch it there before 4/24: MTW @ 7:00…

I loved it.  The story is compelling but the special effects are astoundingly beautiful.  The amount of people coordinated to make this film possible boggles the mind.  Some people had told me it was a bit slow, but I liked the pace, which gave me the chance to soak in the photography and the animals.  Ang Lee as a director I have often appreciated, but he went beyond himself with this monumental work.

I may finally have found a movie that is better than the book.  I give this five stars; it is worth seeing and will give you plenty to think about and chat about afterwards.

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves.
