I have two paintings in this show in Essex, Connecticut, where the theme was “wild and crazy.” It is interesting to see how the theme was interpreted by different artists. My two are shown above and first below.
Many thanks to blog reader Anne for delivering my paintings while I was at camp. Her painting is just below the one of mine below, and hers is titled The Quarry. She painted it in plein air with me at our quarry last June when I painted this one. I especially loved seeing it in this show, for I remember well the exuberance with which it was painted. Also favorite is the last one below.
I’ve had fun showing many times this year in three different venues in Essex, and have enjoyed getting to know the people there. This particular show is in its last week–and I barely got there to see it. It is located at 10 North Street Essex, CT, closed Tuesdays.
