Black and White Paintings Done at Camp

My first day as Artist in Residence at camp was rained out, so since plein air pastel painting was not possible, I concentrated on painting black and white abstract works with depth. These are the next in a progression of black and white works I’ve been focusing on in the last month (see here and here) and I am particularly pleased with these newest ones.

The one above is 18″x18,” and the ones below are either 8″x8″ or 8″x10.”

Next in this black and white series I think I’ll explore collage utilizing black and white pattern… but first some decent weather is promised and I’ll be delving into some landscape work in pastel!

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves.
